The Four-Door Dream.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the Ferrari Pinin, the world’s only four-door Ferrari saloon and a symbol of bold design vision.
Unveiled at the 1980 Turin Motor Show to celebrate Pininfarina’s 50th anniversary, the Pinin was the brainchild of Sergio Pininfarina, who dreamed of a Ferrari to rival the luxury saloons of other brands. Built on a Ferrari 412 chassis, the sleek concept featured revolutionary design details: flush-mounted glass, hidden wipers for better aerodynamics, cooling-focused wheel blades, and futuristic “computerized” interior controls.
Though it never reached production, the Pinin left a lasting impression on Enzo Ferrari and the world. A vision that still fascinates automotive enthusiasts today, 45 years later.
