Pimp my ride - airride Ferrari 400GT

 Via Facebook:

Ferrari 400i Automatic restoration by Prestige Restoration

I spotted some nice Instagram storyline postings by this company. Looks like a thorough job, curious to see more and the final result. I found on their website more details about this project:

Facebook : Auto Becker GMBH October 20 1978 - Ferrari 400 GT

And another great flashback spot via Andreas Birner by Jan Titze on Facebook.

Note the Vitaloni Tornado decal / sticker on the mirror. I still have plenty reproductions left for sale.
I have them available on Ebay if you are interested: https://www.ebay.com/itm/155786659205

Today‘s #flashback takes us back across time and space to Friday, October 20, 1978!
Jan Titze was paying a visit to Auto Becker in Düsseldorf, back then Germany's only official Ferrari importer.
Parked in Auto Becker‘s inner courtyard at Suitbertusstraße 150, Jan spotted this Ferrari 400 GT in Blu scuro over crema VM3997 leather interior. I have been able to identify this car as s/n 25537!
Completed in the works in Maranello on September 20, 1978, s/n 25537 was imported as a new car into Germany through Auto Becker. I guess when Jan spotted the car exactly one month after completion, it was being delivered to its happy first owner, somebody resident in Cologne (Köln) who had it registered on plate K-HC 467.
In 1979, the first owner gave his 400 GT in trade to Auto Becker for a van (!). Auto Becker then sold s/n 25537 (Dino 246 GT or GTS taken in part-trade!) to her second keeper, a local boutique owner resident in Düsseldorf.
In 1980, this boutique owner gave the 400 GT in part-trade again for a new 308 GTS. Auto Becker in turn advertised s/n 25537 for 47.750 DM. In roughly two years since delivery, the dark blue Ferrari 400 GT had already accumulated 63.800 kilometres on its odometer!!
In 1981, s/n 25537 was exported to South Africa where she remained until a resident of Lugano purchased her in the fall of 2022 and imported her to Switzerland! She is still (or again?) painted in her original paint colour of Blu scuro (solid, non-metallic dark blue).
By the way, on Jan’s photo, the 400 GT was parked right in front of Auto Becker‘s small in-house bar „Auto Becker Club“ which was later renamed to „PS Club“ which translates to „Horsepower Club“.
