When questioning regarding the story I got the following reply:
"Car was reported stolen in 1989 and than found by chance during a diving exercise on the ground of the river Neckar in the south of Germany. The wreck was sold to German Ferrari enthusiast Matthias Meckel but to the best of my knowledge never restored. Matthias passed away a few years ago and I have no info about the remains today."
