I have been in touch yesterday with this author and was made aware about this new release which will be made freely available to everyone. What a great gesture! So much effort and dedication went into this archive project. All details can be found below, I copied this content from the Facebook Group, for those who have not got a FB account. And of course the 400 is covered in this design archive as well ;-) In fact I spotted some unknown photo material, how's that!?

Would the stories of craftsmen shaping aluminium with wooden hammers become nothing more than memories? Would future generations value software more than sculpture, digital interfaces more than mechanical beauty?

During the decades that followed, I devoted myself to documenting that extraordinary story.

The result is Ferrari – The History of a Legend—an independent encyclopedia covering the complete evolution of Ferrari, from the earliest days of Enzo Ferrari and Scuderia Ferrari to the latest generation of road cars, concept cars and design studies.

This complimentary volume, Ferrari Design Archive, is dedicated to more than seventy years of Ferrari design. It presents concept cars, styling studies, coachbuilt masterpieces, one-off creations and experimental projects that shaped the visual identity of Ferrari through every decade of its history.

Inside you will discover hundreds of rare photographs, restored historical images, reconstructed design sketches and original artwork, many prepared especially for this publication after years of historical research and digital restoration.

Perhaps, while turning these pages, you will arrive at the same conclusion that I reached while writing the final chapter of this encyclopedia.

Currently the museum Enzo Ferrari has an exhibition regarding music legends and their Ferrari's:

The following Hungarian website made a nice article with an overview of the cars and their artist.

And it did include a Ferrari 412 as well. It's a 412 Automatic from 1987 in a lovely color which belongs to Paul Kalkbrenner. I have to admit this name was unknown to me.
