MECC Interclassics 2016 - Ferrari 400 412

As indicated earlier I went today to the Interclassics 2016 in the MECC. I knew in advance there were going to be a few 400s presented for sale. So hereby an overview of them:

The first one I came across, forgot to make a picture on the car information. It's a car from Belgium. If I recall correctly it was offered for € 54.000,-  and an automatic.

The seconde one, a very nice 412 Automatic, VIN 60453. And what a nice combo:

The 3rd one, a 400i Automatic:

And the 4th one, this one was located at the Kroymans stand, a very nice Ferrari 400i Automatic. This was a really good specimen (except for the radio). It was sold already. Interestingly it was for sale two years ago and at the time sold as well:

Update 18-1-2016 : Guess what, it appears there are 2 Dutch 400i's with this same unique color setting (light green with dark green interior). I was informed this one for sale on Interclassics 2016 (VIN 35031) is not the same car as on Interclassics 2014 (VIN 42429). Both appears to be delivered by Kroymans as well. The only difference is the car radio ...

And the 5th one was located at the Coys auction section which was a secured area. It was the known King Hussain 400i. On my request to have a look the security guard checked for me but on his return he mentioned it was already sold and as such I was not further allowed to check.

The 6th one was the famous Prince Bernhards 412 Manual. And it was sold as well, apparently it stays in the Netherlands. The VIN is 59917 and it does not have a special mention in the serial handbook, except for the remark green/tan.

Typical no 365GT4 2+2 was for sale but I think a record off 400s for sale on a classic car show. All in all a very nice day spent.

A book I had seen before, it was listed on Ebay. And only for € 10,- Still I thought it would be a waste, so I left it. Not much later I regretted it and of course the book was no longer listed - even though they had quite a few on stock. But I noticed it was also listed on Amazon, even cheaper, for   € 9,86 -  including shipping! Originally the book cost about € 50,- And today I received. It's a bilingual book (German/English). And I have to say it's quite an impressive work. Of course my car was listed as well. Apart from the VIN some cars do have additional supporting information, like the color, engine nr, year, etc. For my car 27303 it mentions the following:

Automatic, Azzurro Metallic / Tan LHD EU Kroymans Collection

K500 Classic cars index : Ferrari 400/412

But it does require a subscription. I'm tempted but I don't think it will reveal any new insight for me.

Let's see when the "timeless Pininfarina styling will be appreciated" For now we have to suffice with a rating of 25

Spotted : Prince Bernhard Ferrari 412 Maastricht

So many spots and interesting pictures are being upload on the internet lately, it's almost hard to keep up. Just like the many cars for sale I don't publish them on my blog, unless they are special. This is one of them. I know this car has come up before but thought Prince Bernhards car is worth while. It's spotted in Maastricht so it's very likely this one will be presented on the Interclassics show coming week - http://www.interclassicsmaastricht.nl/.

For Sale : Ferrari 412 RHD Automatica - Graziono Oerlikon

It's not unusual my radar catches cars for sale. This one is no exception, normally I don't publish these but this appeared to be an interesting one after I had it reported:

As can be read in the advert, it's an Original Italian car from the 1st owner with a very low mileage.
But it's the only RHD ordered directly from Pininfarina an not via UK Maranello Concessionnaires.
It was ordered by a wealthy Turin family but it was registered on their company name; Graziono Oerlikon. Interestingly this is a company specialized in transmissions: http://www.oerlikon.com/graziano/en/ According to the Wiki since 1996 they also supply to Ferrari:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graziano_Trasmissioni With this history it's also interesting to see they ordered the automatic version. Still I'm unsure why they wanted it to be RHD? It was pointed out to me that despite this it has the normal LHD features, ie speedometer in KPH and lights. Furthermore it has some very specific items like head restraints and vanity mirror ... Apparently this one hasn't the left this garage since 2003.
