As for the twitter comment, the 412 was apparently sold on Ebay and the money was donated to the victims of the Tsunami:

    I received the following update on the Ebay auction: It was unfortunately not sold.
    The Reserve Price was 60K The best offer was 48K

    Another comment regarding the fotoshoot location of this Daft Punk article: The Club 400 has loaned the car. The shooting took place at AULT, a village of the Baie de Somme, North Ouest Coast of France
