Ferrari 400i spotted in Berlin

On the 22nd of December the owner mentioned on FB his car was sold and went to Berlin:

On the 25th of December it was already spotted by a Dutch guy and it was posted on the following link: http://www.autojunk.nl/2015/12/ferrari-400i-5

Althoug only a few comments were made (9) they were nearly all positive about this car. How's that!?

Scale models Ferrari 400

Although I'm not into scale models I'm Always surprised to see how many there are around for the 400 series. Especially since this car is not very liked. But also the specials and one-offs are often well presented. A few times before I created some blogs about the unusual scale models. So now it's time to create a complete listing. I will just add this blog as reference in the side bar. Everytime I come across a "unknown" one on Ebay or elsewhere I will just add it to this list. I can already foresee this will be a hideous job to keep track off and very time consuming if you want to properly organize it will all details. The blog isn't realy suitable for such task. As said, for now I will just stack them below in this specific blog. Perhaps afterwards the details can be further organized per brand, model, price, etc.

Press photo Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 - Giorgio Bellia Photo Torino

I managed to get my hands on another press photo via Ebay. A nice Christmas gift that I received just yesterday. It's a known picture which I had already in my archive. I still haven't been able to track more information about the photographer (Giorgio Bellia) nor about the photo model.

Note, last time I got outbid on this picture by someone in Sweden (was it you David?):

Forgotten Ferrari 400 / 412

Today I received this one-pager article. Although not lengthy it's a good one though. Thanks for sharing David. It's now available in the download folder.

Ouch! here is another one

For the records, it's a 1982 Auto RHD with 55k miles.

But I recognized this particular damage, it's a known one:

BAT : $33K 1980 Ferrari 400i

Yesterdays and todays stats scared me. There was an invasion from the USA. Typical, as last week I had lots of hits from Russia. Further checking revealed it was caused by an article on BAT. Of course it was about a Ferrari 400. This is the posting in question:

http://bringatrailer.com/2015/12/18/33k-1980-ferrari-400i/

And yes, I Always like to read about these. Especially the comment fields are Always entertaining. To bad this time around the talk was mostly about the company who was offering the car for sale.

Turns out one of the comments was referring to my blog, hence the unusual amount of hits.

And only one guy nailed it:

Always the same comments with these….The 400i was made to Tour from Milan to St. Moritz, with your skis, luggage and mistress. While she pours you champagne and you hold your cigar just slightly near the window. Save the manual for when you return and want to tear up the Autostrade.

Ferrari 365GT4 2+2 by Pavesi

Another very interesting update and pictures from David Irvine:

It was a car built for King Khalid of Saudi Arabia. A Ferrari 365 GT/4 (pre - 400 style). Custom interior with wood and lambswool carpets. He never took delivery of it. It ended up in Canada in the early 'eighties. Got smashed and then rebuilt (very well) by Frank Gibsons'. Repainted red.

And of course we know more about this one, see my blog:

http://erwin400.blogspot.nl/2014/03/ferrari-365-gt4-22-carrozzeria-pavesi.html

And there is more, the current owner is on FB and shared updates on the restoration. As you will see, he has put the Original color on again.
