A few months back I spotted this great cut-out silhouette of the 400 C-pillar on a German marketplace. A bit pricey and far away (nearby Stuttgart). It had to be collected as shipping was not an option. And of course Covid was still around, potential causing an issue when crossing the border. Sigh! When checking the advert a little later it was gone. Sigh! But luck was on my side as somehow it was put up for sale again. I contacted my partner in crime; Jos! And he needed to go for business in Germany by car (with a huge boot). And the location was en route! I informed the seller that Jos would contact him to arrange an appointment and pick up the item. And it got delivered about 2 weeks ago. And today I finally had time to put it up in the garage. So pleased with this piece of automotive art decoration. How cool is this!
Unfortunately it's not 100% It does have a few minor scratches and of course a few original rust spots. But nothing worrisome. If needed it can be perfectly restored. The cut is nicely made and it even does have a piece of the bootlid, bumper, tail light and chrome strips of the rear window:
Thanks again for your support Jos!!!
