I just spotted this update by the garage who has done my MOT and airco services. Apparently another 400 owner showed up at their garage. I now wonder who this person is and if he went there on my recommendation, meaning he might has been reading my blog (else it's purely coincidental) If you happen to be this specific 400 owner and are reading this then I would appreciate a small message.

Enzo Ferrari - Michele Alboreto - Ferrari 412 - Lancia Thema 8.32
Yesterday I visited Munsterhuis and when browsing around in their showroom I saw some Ferrari books in the lounge room. One of them was about all the models produced. So I flicked through it
and read the pages about the 365/400/412. The 412 had an interesting remark which I was not aware off:
One of the Lucky owners of the car was Michele Alboreto who was given a 412 by Enzo Ferrari to mark the birth of his first daughter, with the comment, "now that your family has grown, you'll need a 2+2".

I guess Michele must have been really fortunate as he also got a 8.32 from Enzo :

Ebay Photograph Ferrari 365GT4 2+2 Paris Motorshow 1972
I'm stunned and outbid again on another photograph offered on Ebay. Apparently 4 different people have been attempting to win this item. And they have been bidding serious money. Especially compared to other more attractive or rarer Ferrari models. Why? What is happening?

Autoweek Classics : Guilty Pleasure - Ferrari 412
Today I bought the Dutch magazine Autoweek Classics for an article about a car drawing artist. By surprise I noticed it had a one-page article from one of the editors about the 412. And as the title reveals it was his guilty pleasure. He recently had an opportunity to drive one (400i) but it had dissapointed him but this was mainly due to a poor adjusted engine. If he happens to read this blog update I offer him a second chance and opportunity to do a small test drive in my 400. In return he needs to write a proper story about it.

Compatibility item : ignition / steering lock
On FChat I came across another nice compatibility item:
http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/365-gt4-2-2-400-412/527098-neiman.html
The ignition/steering lock unit appears to be used on BMWs. It now becomes apparent to me why they used German carkeys of the brand Neiman.
The BMW part # is: 61-31-2-682-120.
It was used on 1970-76 models 1600, 2002, 2002ti.

PART II : Coys Auction : Lot 145 - The ‘Enzo Ferrari Film’ 1973 Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2
As per http://erwin400.blogspot.nl/2016/07/coys-auction-lot-145-enzo-ferrari-film.html
I just got notified the sale didn't went ahead. So new rounds, new chances at the Paris Motor Show on 8th October 2016.
Update 13-10-2016: Coys state it was sold for €75,800 to a collector in New Zealand
The following got posted on FChat and was provided by Marcel Massini:
The correct Italian license plate number on chassis #17261 is Modena "MO 393333" (NOT "MO 39333"). It is six digits, not five. A possible five digit plate "MO 39333" would have been issued in May 1956 already. The car (17261) was registered on plates "MO 393333" on 10 March 1977. This is NOT the first registration of 17261. It is the second. The first one was 6 September 1973 on plates "MO 306084". The first and original owner of 17261 was Enzo Varianini, born on the 3rd August 1933 in Mirandola, resident at Via Fulvia 21 in Mirandola (Province of Modena), Italy, declared purchase price was Italian Lire 13’000’000. The car was sold to him thru dealer Motor S.a.s. in Bologna, Italy.
Original exterior color: Azzurro Hyperion 2.443.648.
Original interior color: Nero Cogolo.
