Ferrari 400i - President Haiti : Jean-Claude Duvalier

On FChat someone discovered the first owner of his 400i (#31725):

"after repeated inquiries in Maranello i find out that my car was purchased directly from the factory by none other than “Sua Altezza il Presidente a vita di Haiti” (His Highness the President for Life of Haiti), which would be notorious dictator Jean-Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier...
that explains why there was no trace of the car in europe for the first 6 years (1980-86), until it reappeared in Miami in 1986 (after Duvalier's ouster)...
no wonder there were some rather creative repairs in the engine compartment..."

Some further insight regarding this president can be read here:

Apparently Jean-Claude Duvalier also owned 365 GT4 2+2 #17143

On Pinterest I found this photo with the comment it belonged to Jean-Claude Duvalier

2019 FCA Palm Beach Concorso Ferrari Show - Ferrari 400i

One of the Ferrarichat members showed up on this event with his white Ferrari 400i and had to compete against many others. But he managed to achieve a special recognition. Well done Gary!
