Wayne Carini - Ferrari 412 manual

What a color combo. Curious to learn more about the history of this car and the first owner.

Soon to be available at F40 is this rare manual Ferrari 412i with less than 7,000 miles. This 1989 example is the last of a generation of elegant, Pininfarina-styled V12-powered coupes that started with the 365 GT4 2+2 in 1972. One of less than 600 412i couples built, It was specially ordered by a New York collector and has had only two owners from new.

 Just adding this one for the records because of the color, Verde Seabird, and historical owners. 

From 1987 to 1996, this example was owned by Ferrari Owners Club Chairman - Colin Biffa, before being purchased by Sir Roger Hervey UK Ambassador to Mexico.

Could it actually be this car, originally delivered at Auto Becker in Germany (photo taken from magazine Auto Welt 1978). The VIN 27919 is indicating towards the year 1979 though. Maybe it was officially registered on the road at 1980.

Note the enlarged air vent in the bonnet, so it's likely an original delivered one for that region. Not sure about the color though.Given the bumpers are in the same color it's likely resprayed.
