And another nice read. This 400i article is from the magazine "Car" and published in July 1983.
It's now available in the download folder. Happy reading.

Ferrari 400i Haynes Museum
I catched this tweet today. Apparently there is this 400i in the Haynes Museum in the UK. Typical this shows up since I added a few musea last week on this blog. I also included a musea tag and an entry on the sidebar (blog labels). So you can easily find where they are stored.

un petit peu
This is indeed a little Peugeot. In fact it's the Peugette, launched in 1976. The same year as the 400 automatic. Both by Pininfarina. And yes, you can see little 400 as well.

Museum biscaretti di ruffia - Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2
A few years back I visited the renewed museum Biscaretti di Ruffia. Something just triggered me to check their website. And yes, the 365 was listed. So I looked up some piccies that were made at the time. A highly recommended museum to visit when you are in Turin..

Unknown motorshow ?
Which car show and which year?
Update: since the 308GT4 finished in 1980 and the Mondial got released in 1980 my guess is it's a picture from 1980. The motorshow location is still unknown to me.
The picture is published in the Ferrari book 1947 - 1997

Michelin Tyre Information sticker - Front Window Ferrari 400 GT Automatic
On Ebay I spotted these stickers for sale. So I bought 2 of these. They might come in handy in the near future. My front window is having a large nasty milky spot. It seems now its very slowly fading away again. But it does simply need a front window replacement. I'm searching already for a while but it's hard to find a used one - preferably with a green sun shade on top. I have seen a new front window (immitation) for sale but it's without the green shade. Currently my car doesn't have the green shade but if possible I would like to obtain one. If someone has a spare, used or new, frontwindow; I'm all ears.

Viaretro : The combat Sunday: Ferrari 365 GT4 2 + 2 vs. Aston Martin V8
Another interesting article by Viaretro.

Apparently these 2 cars are up for sale on an auction coming Wednesday. I know who is going to win this combat:
Updat 11-11-2014: Claus at Viaretro was so kind to write the article in proper English as well, much better then the Google translation:

Carrozzeria Pininfarina - Torino - Fotografia n. 943 Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 1972
Another nice item I recently got ahold. One of the press foto's stamped by Pininfarina. I suppose it's a rare item as I haven't come across them before. It goes nicely with my growing archive.
Perhaps a strange thought but the following picture triggered me the idea. It seems like the lady
is the same person as used for the 365GT4 2+2 shoot. I was wondering if she is (/was) a known model, or at least find out who she was. Just for the records. Furhtermore I'm interested to know who the Pininfarina photographer was at the time.

Norwegian Ferrari 400 for sale
I spotted this 400 Automatic for sale in Germany, clearly the price triggered me as well:
http://auto24.de/inserat/Ferrari/400/Gebrauchtwagen__11409751.html
Somehow I thought I recognized the car as the pictures looked familar to me. I vaguely recalled this being advertised in the Nordics. I also noticed there was a reflector on the back which was painted black. So likely it was a car returning back from the USA.
Thus I simply made an enquiry by email requesting more information and the VIN. The first response came quickly but the VIN request remained unanswered. So another request was made for more pictures and again the VIN. Another response came back rapidly with more "details" and the pictures. But no answer to the VIN. It also contained a poor story about his divorce and moving cross countries and selling the car below the market price. The email became very apparent to me as a scam. So time to do an image lookup. And as expected, the car showed up on another location. Interestingly it was a complete article about the 400 on a Norwegian website:
http://www.tv2.no/a/6133802 (I will add it to the online section).
English translation:
https://translate.google.nl/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=nl&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tv2.no%2Fa%2F6133802&edit-text=
This article also revealed the advertisment website. And it's still listed:
Ferrari 400 GT Automatic 1978, 33 000 km, kr 320 000,- (That translates roughly to 40k Euro).
http://www.finn.no/finn/car/used/object?finnkode=50697873
As such I seeked contact with the Original seller and informed him about my findings. So far no reply yet. Be hereby warned that the offered car on the German website is a scam.
Update 9-11-2014: I got a response today from the Original seller and he confirmed the fraud. When I chekced the advert it was gone.

"what a classy and underrated presence this Ferrari has, and it keeps on looking more mature and subtle year after year… just plain classic!"

Invest in a Ferrari 400 ? - Den næste store Ferrari
A nice article that touchbases on the Ferrari 400 as an investment. I will add this article to the online section. Unfortunately it's not in English, while their website can be viewed in English though. So you need to whack this link into Google translator. Even the majority of the commentors are in favor of the 400 - that's unusual.
